Therapist's instructions

Position the patient in prone on their elbows. Instruct the patient to lift their hips off the floor and maintain a plank-like position.

Client's instructions

Position yourself lying on your stomach on your elbows. Practice lifting your hips off the floor to maintain a plank-like position.

Progressions and variations

Less advanced:

  1. Weight-bear through the knees.
    More advanced:
  2. Extend one leg in the air while maintaining the plank-like position.
  3. Extend the elbows.
